Storage Design Consulting is a privately owned family operated business headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri.  Since it's inception in 1993, many successful projects have been accomplished.  Founder and CEO, John Black, has had over 38 years in the material handling industry.

In 1967, John started his 36 year tenure with Ridg-U-Rak, Inc., one of the leading manufacturers of storage rack.  His background covers every aspect of the material handling industry from the bottom up.

 

As Manager of Production and Industrial Engineering, he was responsible for production of all material including procurement, manufacturing methods and engineering, as well as, negotiations with steel suppliers and the local unions.

 

In later years, John became one of Ridg-U-Rak's top Regional Sales Managers accountable for nineteen states and training distributors successful material handling strategies.

 

After departing from Ridg-U-Rak, he continued his own successful consulting company building and nurturing his existing relationships in the material handling industry.
